Goal Setting Helped Me Organize My Life!

April was hectic... and went by FAST! How about for you?

One thing I have not really shared with my followers on this journey with me (other than my social media accounts) is that I became a contributor on Going From Broke, A TV show that features an innovative format bringing the stories of six young people embarking on a debt-free life. During the six-week production of season 2, Crackle will shoot and air footage the same week it is shot documenting the cast's "real time" emotional and financial makeovers. Join the conversation about financial independence with #GoingFromBroke.

I'm totally transparent about my life and feel it's a way to help others! You have to stay tuned to see and hear the rest! Planning our the year, vision boarding and making sure I was deliberate in all my ACTIONS helped me become successful not just in my weight loss journey, but in my financial journey as well! Stay updated on my journey, but for now, lets turn to you and your goals and get you there!

Planning Your May Goals

This means it is time to reflect on your goals from last month. While reflecting I want you to start planning out your new goals for this month!

Real quick though... HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOU SET THAT GOAL? Are you reusing the same goals from last month or the recent past? If you are instead of setting the goal that you have not reached, it's time to:

1. Pick a new goal that you know you can realistically achieve

2. Get really honest with yourself about why your goal is not happening

I know the second option is an uncomfortable conversation to have with yourself and sometimes filled with EXCUSES (my leg hurt, I need to get blood work, my schedule has just been so busy, I don't like protein, the list goes on). Just think about this, if this is something you really want for yourself, the only one holding you back is YOU.

  • That means being real about why you are still snacking on junk food before bed time.

  • That means being honest about why you are not working out consistently.

  • That means facing the reasons you are still going back for more when you are already full.

  • That means carrying around the darn water bottle everywhere!

I want you to make MAY all about MEETING your goals!
