Wow! What an epic last day here! We made some hash from our empanadas from last night, cause I don't like wasting food!
We started out being shown around the island when we first arrived and I have gotten to know so much of this place, I'm really comfortable here! Today I got to show Cynthia Rodriguez and the fam around! We had a blast.
We totally had our rough patches with an eclectic group of kids, high heat temps, salty air, tweens and toddler on board... but I'd have to say we balanced each other out and when mommas come together for the common goal of having a good time, magical things happen, life long friendships and future vacationing for sure!
We started out by grabbing a taxi and heading to get golf carts! After that we went to the south end and walked more through the Mayan ruins! Today, Gia was in better spirits. However, this walk wasn't easy! We were caked in salt water sweat and my chub rub was feeling it!
After that we headed to my place to freshen up and get in the water! We went to crystal clear waters and relaxed for a bit before grabbing some amazing food at a stand!
After we grabbed food, we dropped some kiddos off and headed back to another beach. At this beach the boats line the shore with pumping music and use the open waters as their playground.
Freshening up is something that can be easily done like 5 times a day, so here we are doing it again this time at Cynthia's place! We went grocery shopping together. Gia and the little one found chickens that make noise and pigs. It wasn't hard for us three to be found by every customer and shopping attendant as we totally sat there and played with them for a while! I'd have to toot my own horn on the "cool mom" vibes- even if Gia doesn't agree!
Cynthia's little boy fell in love with me, and fed me all night (he was also pretty darn cute) We traveled to the party scene in the evening to find food, but as mommas not much was happening and everything was closing. So she hungry, get a margarita and run! We returned back to the street to just relax in the windy breeze.
The kids had a great time getting to know one another and we can't wait to see them visit in NY!
