The Macaw City House
Kingston, New York
We are located in the city of Kingston, Approximately one mile from uptown and downtown Kingston. Both areas of the town can be easily accessible by bike, Uber/Lyft or driving. Sometimes I walk as well (one to two miles in any direction). Our space is cozy and lived in. It was built in the 40's and I have added some great outdoor features as well as updated all living spaces inside the home to make it comfortable. I enjoy hearing the evening train and the muffling noise of traffic on a semi busy street! Macaw City House Space I bought this home ten years ago. I wasn't the happiest of people and I didn't love my home. I went through weight loss surgery, lost 116 pounds and started to renovate all aspects of my life, one of those was this AMAZING HOME. After weight loss surgery and excessive skin removal, it was time to knock down walls, put an electric fireplace in, replace the bathroom door with a barn style door, add a beautiful deck, renovate the bathroom and add some personal boho chic personality to my home. I love to cook and eat, so I created a breakfast bar in the kitchen as well. I transformed my life and my home, both bringing me income and inspiration!
Our home is lived in, we are located in an inner city country vibe town, with a lot of artistic culture and boutique shopping. We have a great nightlife scene with local breweries, restaurants and shops all within one and a half miles of the home. Farther from us we have endless hikes, mountain top views, lakes, rivers, streams and ponds all for swimming, boating, skiing, snow tubing, snow boarding and exploring. We are a four season destination! Within twenty five minutes there are multiple day trips to other local towns. This community has so much to offer!
